MATTHEW ARMSTRONG
Matthew is a Brisbane based Visual Artist and Community Development Worker. He works alongside various peer groups, co-facilitating future planning workshops and visual storytelling projects in Queensland and more recently in the Nothern Territory.
A Brisbane local of 27 years, Matthew's paintings centre on contemporary expression in the Australian landscape informed by his early years growing up in Dubbo, New South Wales. His visual arts practice uses various mark-making techniques; brushwork, palette knife, rough charcoal, acrylic, and ink lines, to suggest landscape movements, patterns, changing light and shadows.
Matthew is trained in graphic facilitation and has completed research on creative future planning through Griffith University.
