Sound of Yesteryear takes you on a journey of musical history, back to the Mid Century when the production of analogue sound and technology was nearing its peak. Record players were prolific including portable versions like this gorgeous suitcase with its genuine leather case, satin pouch and plaid interior, showing intricate craftsmanship. I spotted an almost identical one at an antique store recently and fell in love.
There's something magical about listening to vinyl on a vintage turntable from a bygone era when music was far more tangible. Not only does it transport you back in time, but it becomes a ritual of listening; providing a physical connection to music that evokes a sense of warmth and nostalgia.
From the joy of actually owning albums from favourite artists to lovingly handling the vinyl itself and placing it on the turntable with the needle; it gives the collector a more personal connection to the artist and their music. It is a truly immersive experience.
Comes ready to hang and complete with a certificate of authenticity.
