SEAN LOCH

Australian contemporary artist Sean Loch makes gestural, process-led paintings that favour instinct over intention. Working in oil stick, collage and acrylic on canvas, he builds surfaces quickly and intuitively, trusting the accident as much as the decision.

Based in Brisbane, Sean is a writer and director with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Film and Television, and has been creating since childhood. His current work is openly exploratory, treating each painting as a new problem to solve rather than a fixed statement.

He has sold more than 70 paintings to collectors across Australia and the United States, and recently exhibited at the Affordable Art Fair Brisbane.
